Airstream Hunter presents this 1992 Airstream Excella 1000 34' Travel Trailer, proudly offered as a private sale from its long-time owner in Salem, Virginia. With a triple axle design and a generous 34-foot layout, this Excella offers a rare combination of vintage charm, reliable performance, and full-time living capability. Built with the timeless quality of 1990s Airstreams, it’s ready for its next chapter.

Well-Loved and Road-Tested

Originally purchased from Woodland Airstream, this unit has a well-documented ownership history. It has seen both full-time use and vacation travel, including many memorable post-retirement trips. The current owner has maintained the trailer with care—replacing components as needed and keeping systems functional and roadworthy. It last towed in May 2025 and passed a Virginia inspection with ease.

Exterior Integrity with Honest Patina

The aluminum body is mostly original, with curbside rear and center panels replaced in 2011. While there are a few small dents and the clearcoat shows moderate peeling, there’s no hail damage or structural concerns. The frame is solid, subfloor strong, and the original belly pan remains intact, save for one small puncture from a misplaced jack. The five awnings—two curbside, two street side, and one rear—are in good shape and include a center support. Roof was resealed in 2023. All hatches, windows, and locks are functional, with keys included.

Inviting and Upgraded Interior

Step inside to a spacious, thoughtfully updated interior with warm oak cabinetry and professionally installed luxury vinyl plank flooring (2016). The front lounge features a convertible sofa bed with overhead cabinets and a Sony AM/FM/CD stereo. Opposite the curbside kitchen is a street-side dinette that converts to a single bed. Upholstery and foam for the dinette and sofa were professionally replaced in 2016 and remain in excellent condition.

The rear bedroom features a custom queen mattress and mirrored wardrobe doors. All soft furnishings, curtains, and blinds are original and in good shape, with curtain guides replaced and some spares included.

Well-Equipped Kitchen and Bath

The original 4-burner gas stove and oven are fully operational, complemented by a microwave (replaced in 2016), double sink with updated faucet, and a 7.7 cu. ft. Dometic fridge (2007) that runs on gas or electric. The center bathroom includes a separate shower with updated hose and sprayer, a replaced toilet (2020), and a sink—all in good working order.

Comfort Systems and Functionality

This trailer is fully functional with many system updates:

• Heating/Cooling: Original Duo-Therm A/C with heat strip; gas furnace with electric fan (fan motor bearings may need service)

• Electrical: 30-amp service, upgraded PD9260 converter (2006), two batteries (2023)

• Water: Fresh tank replaced (2009), pump updated (2016), SewerSolution macerator pump for efficient waste handling

• Propane: Two brand new 40# Flame King tanks with 2016 regulator and hoses

Towing Ready with Extras Galore

With a GVWR of 8,900 lbs, tongue weight of 800 lbs, and triple axle stability, this Excella tows smoothly. Included is the original Reese weight distribution hitch with anti-sway bar, plus everything you need to hit the road: water hose, leveling blocks, tools, cookware, riveter, spare tire, step assembly, and more.
