Ownership History: The best of our knowledge: This trailer was purchased in Pennsylvania in 1968 and used for travel through the 80's. In the late 80's it was moved to a vacation park and a shelter room was built around it- an addition was later built onto the trailer entirely surrounding the unit. The vacation structure was removed when the lot was sold following the owner's death. A neighbor bought the unit but soon after decided to sell based on the age and water damage. Rivet saw the posting and purchased soon thereafter.

Why did you select this model?: This unit was purchased based on the condition. The unit was immaculate save for the water damage caused by a water tank failure in the adjoining structure.

Why are you selling?: Rivet has used this build as a sample trailer for the last two years. We no longer need the unit for display purposes and would like to see it back on the road where it belongs!

Exterior Condition Description:: The exterior is in good shape with minor dings and dents consistent with age and use. There are a couple of small patches on the front quarter drivers' side where CB antenna had been installed. There is a larger patch on the driver's side covering a previous dent/ gouge apx 24"x 24". All gaskets and windows have been replaced/ maintained.

Interior Layout and Condition:: The basic interior layout remains largely original. There is a front gaucho to the right upon entering with a collapsable table directly across. Next you can step through the galley to the central gaucho on the driver side with a newly fabricated working desk across. There is a professionally reconditioned bathroom in the back.

Bathroom Location and Style:: This is a read bathroom model. The toilet is a new floor-flush replacement. All other fixtures have been reconditioned.

Any additional owner comments?: Our 68 Overlander was found in a nearby RV park in PA. Before being sealed into her carport in PA this trailer was found wondering the south while calling Florida home. The owners of this trailer went to great lengths to preserve much of the original paperwork and interior. While the preserved paperwork and documentation will be passed to her next owner; the interior began to fail almost as soon as she was moved off of her site. After some much needed frame repair, her axles and brakes were replaced and new tires installed. The interior was completely updated with new electrical distribution, plumbing and tanks. A new toilet, tank-less hot water heater, oven, range, furnace, AC, and three-way refrigerator were installed to give this classic modern functionality. The Rivet team then installed new flooring, Zolotone paint, re¬finished bathroom appliances, new lighting, custom cabinets, and custom upholstery. Great care was taken in the restoration of every possible detail including the gauchos, bathroom, and even the reworking of the now functional original control panel. Where possible, materials were upgraded to aluminum composite, Corian, and color core HPL. All gaskets, glass, and screens were removed, restored, and reinstalled. The sleeping area has been reimagined to incorporate a desk and work space. This trailer is the perfect go-anywhere office for the work-from-home nomad.
